Arconic is currently in search of Material Planner to join our Kawneer Team in Visalia. Base Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000
The Material Planner will be responsible to sequence customer orders to obtain optimized flow between various production departments to improve efficiency of the plant.

Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES included but not limited to the following.
- Adhere to all Kawneer rules and regulations.
- Schedule orders to the customers original promise date
- Manage orders in backlog / MPS report
- Sequence order in fabrication and departments as designated:
- Slider line , Standard door line, Customer door, Windows
- Sequence Paint , P&D , and material handling
- Communicate with customer service on delays or issues
- collaborate with the shop floor on work level load
- Schedule orders to the customers original promise date
- Manage orders in backlog / MPS report
- Communicate with customer service on delays or issues
- Communicate with receiving and door hardware team for custom KSP
- collaborate with the shop floor on work level load
- Coordinate with Project Managers on the arrival of customer hardware
- Process the work flow of ordering incoming from Takeoff
- Product data management requests
- Cover for peers or PC supervisor when off/loading calls
- Nightly shipping review process
- shopfloor manning back up
- Process customer orders through various fabrication departments and finishing department.
- Reads production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.
- Sequence orders through production department from raw material to finished goods.
- Co-ordinate with department supervisors and management staff to identify and resolve bottleneck production areas.
- Manage order exceptions and communicate to supervisors, and respective employee.
- Responsible for the analysis of sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements.
- Interface with manufacturing personnel, the Purchasing Department and Supervisors on material status and production planning issues.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- One to six months related work experience is preferred.
- Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondents.
- Ability to effectively communicate with other employees and supervisors.
- Ability to count, to add, to subtract and to multiply simple numbers.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with and respond to minor problems in standard work situations.
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and good organizational skills.

- Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Able to walk primarily on level surface.
- Able to wear required PPE.
