Applied Composites (AC) is seeking a Materials Plannerwho will be responsible for receiving technical documents from Program Manager/Manufacturing Engineering to create and maintain BOMs to support the purchasing process of fabricated and assembled parts. Interface with Engineering, Quality, Inventory, and Purchasing in support of materials inventory for contract requirements.

Job Accountabilities:
- Working with all Program Managers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Program Planners (WBS & Work Plan) to furnish complete BOMs to Purchasing for RFQ and procurement requirements
- Update BOMs with revisions as needed and transmit to Program Managers and Configuration Control
- Perform available stock verification and revision status
- Resolve program shortages by reviewing and analyzing all back-orders
- Apply knowledge of space fabrication materials, including machining, metallic and non-metallic structures and components
- Interpret technical documents in regards to material requirements for each program.
- Validate and ensure latest configuration and affectivity are maintained throughout the manufacturing cycle
- Process the necessary documentation to complete job assignments and resolve discrepancies in order to expedite the flow of material
- Perform Global Shop material cost transfers and create part numbers
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Job Specifications:
Education: Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Years’ Experience: 5-years aerospace industry materials planning experience
Skills:
- Strong analytical, computer, and written skills. MRP applications desired. Possess excellent drawing and parts lists reading skills and Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and interpret Customer Materials and Process specifications to establish two and three tier materials
- Requires excellent time management and prioritizing skills to meet the challenges of unexpected program updates and requirements
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
