Russell Tobin & Associates is currently seeking a Supply/Demand Materials Planner, 08-month Contract role for one of our Fortune 500 clients at Cupertino, CA (Hybrid). Apply today for immediate consideration.
Hourly Pay: $55 to $60 W2
Job Summary:
- The Planner is responsible for securing supply of spare parts.
- A planner must have strong analytical capabilities, planning and supply chain management expertise, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to resolve supply issues in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Must be creative problem solvers who can drive continuous improvement.
Description:
- Own the detailed plan of when and how to secure supply of assigned materials to deliver near perfect parts availability for customers.
- Review daily reports and act on supply shortages immediately to minimize customer impact
- Interpret and analyze the usage history, forecast and maintain supply plans for all parts using spreadsheets and corporate planning system.
- Complete root cause analyses and develop mitigation plans for any supply gaps
- Complete detailed analysis of weekly system purchase recommendations
- Ensure the planning system is properly configured for each part
- Balance inventory across global warehouse locations to avoid or minimize customer impacts.
- Optimize plans to minimize cost while still maintaining target service levels.
- Present status to management weekly on top supply issues.
- Actively participate in regular cross functional meetings.
- Actively participate in regular and ad-hoc early morning or evening calls with global team and/or vendors.
Key Qualifications:
- Ability to analyze, think and act quickly and decisively in crisis situations.
- Ability to effectively triage and act on critical supply issues on a daily basis.
- Keen analytical and Microsoft Excel capabilities
- Ability to formulate and execute ad hoc analyses rapidly under time pressure
- Expertise in using solver based planning tools and SAP
- Clear and prompt communication to management and peers (email + in-person)
- Effective time management to balance multiple priorities. Prioritize action items in real-time based on customer impact and cost.
- Project management skills to identify and implement process improvements to business processes, systems, or analysis tools.
