Position Purpose

Ensures IT data systems are available, capable, & accessible so that IT systems operate at the speed of business processes & analyze data quality in real time (IS Mgt, business continuity, & IT support).

Position Purpose
Responsible for the operation, maintenance, administration, & improvement of selected IT systems & platforms. Ensures IT data systems are available, capable, & accessible so that IT systems operate at the speed of business processes & analyze data quality in real time (IS Mgt, business continuity, & IT support).
Accountabilities
- Leads/assists in data analysis developing data process solutions (data acquisition, transformation & load solutions), & information delivery solutions catering to various informational needs of Novo Nordisk
- Improve site capability to provide quality to all business processes by analyzing & improving the flow of information (into, out of, & through), including, but not limited to: Project Mgt, IS Mgt, & core processes
- Provide user & technical support to the site. Acting as the liaison between program offices in DK & Clayton & as the site's primary point of contact & subject matter expert (SME) on: PRISM, SAP; POInT (OEE System), PAS-X (MES system), Chemical Weighing, Tray Labeling, & other production related IT systems, as assigned
- Analyzes user requirements & improve existing systems or recommend & implement new technologies to meet customer needs (VOC) & add value to all business processes (IT Governance, Project Mgt, & IS Mgt)
- Utilizing Remedy, facilitate problem identification, tracking & resolution with program offices in DK
- Coordinate & oversee software upgrades & releases to applicable systems
- Provide training on system use. Interface with business users in understanding systems & provide resolutions to system related issues & discrepancies
- Act as a catalyst to recommend improvements in system performance & functionality. Drive the site's super-users of applicable systems through implementation of best practices, problem resolution & assistance, training & new employee orientation
- Follow all quality, safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties, including compliance with FDA regulations & guidelines as they relate to computer-based information systems
- Provide solutions, which are aligned with site strategies & comply with the company's architectural & operating standards & requirements
- Other accountabilities as assigned
Required Qualifications
- BS in IT, CIS/related field or Equivalent (experience + education) 3-5 years
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of FDA regulations & guidelines as related to computer-based information systems
- Experience with software development concepts, including knowledge of at least one programming language
- Thorough understanding of the NNPII business processes, IT processes & PRISM & SAP
- Excellent troubleshooting skills; can identify root cause of a problem & determine appropriate solution
- Demonstrated skills in identifying & leading small to medium scale improvement projects
- Possesses & applies a broad range of expertise of principles, methods, practices, standards, procedures & compliance requirements of a particular business function in designing & developing complex IT solutions
- Preferred experience or familiarization with technologies including: Oracle, MS SQL, SAP &/or PRISM
- Excellent organization & communication (written & verbal) skills
- Project Management, Project Implementation

- Interface with all business units to obtain/relay information
- Develop robust business relationships & contacts with outside vendors & contractors
- Limited overseas travel (15% or less)
