Position Overview

Primary Purpose of Position
- This position will serve as the lead liaison across all technical and functional groups as it pertains to the Procure to Pay (P2P) System(s).
- May oversee/supervise 1-2 individuals that support the P2P system(s)
The primary purpose of this position:
  • Ensure the daily operations of the P2P business system(s) (e.g. Jaggaer).
  • Examine current and recommend new P2P technical business solutions.
  • Identify effective solutions for business software system issues.
  • Report common patterns, questions, and other issues to management.
  • Recommend solutions for improving and restructuring P2P procedures as it relates to the P2P system(s).
  • Assess system performance, information, and plans by conducting regular tests and analysis.
  • Monitor P2P system(s) status and report any progress or changes.
  • Research and estimate the costs of upgrades and improvements.
  • Establish specifications for new projects by developing project goals, phases, and preliminary budgets.
  • Manage or assist with other work as assigned by supervisor.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The Procurement Services Office provides direction over procurement activities within N.C. A&T, including purchasing and administration of the procurement card. 
Manages all procedural aspects of purchasing activities within State and Federal laws, North Carolina Division of Purchase and Contract rules and regulations, agency/university policy and procedures. 
Communicates with internal and external customers, clients and suppliers; negotiates between parties; verifies availability of funds, advises management on proper allocation of funds, etc.
Minimum Requirements
Graduation from a four year college or university with a related degree to the area of assignment, or 2-4 years experience equivalent combination of training and experience. 
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
A minimum of three years of electronic procurement system and application management experience, integrated with an ERP systems, preferably Banner (ellucian)
Direct knowledge of purchasing/procurement and accounts payable processes required.
Facilitate customer training (e.g. face-to-face or virtual), provide help desk/customer services, project management, facilitate meetings and presentations to all employee levels including upper management.
