Business Intelligence Specialist

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and maintaining BI solutions, including data analysis, reporting, and visualization. The candidate should have a strong understanding of Power BI and be able to create interactive dashboards and reports.

The Business Intelligence Specialist is an integral member of the PeakMade Business Intelligence delivery team.Your primary role will be to support day-to-day BI operations including coordinating with internal customers to gather information needs, developing reports and dashboards, resolving help requests and technical problems, maintaining documentation, and ensuring that Business Intelligence applications enhance business decision making capabilities.

The BI Specialist will report to and work closely with the Director of Business Intelligence to provide world class BI solutions.The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver with a customer service mindset,a strategic thinker with acollaborative spiritand high level of attention to detail, innovative, articulate, and in sync with current BI technology trends.

What You’ll Do:

• As technical lead for BI development projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document business reporting requirements.
• Use Power BI and database tools to design, develop, document, and test BI reporting and data analysis.
• Strong focus on ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Provide technical support and frequent communication for BI help tickets through resolution.
• Demonstrate ownership of initiatives with a mission-first approach and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Identify where the BI system can be leveraged to achieve departmental and corporate goals and assist with integration efforts.
• Design, develop, implement, manage, and supportETL / ELT processes to transform and storestructured and unstructured data in datastores / data warehouse.

What You’ll Need:

• 3+ years of experience in developing and maintaining BI solutions using Power BI.
• 4+ years of Business Intelligence experience withdata architectures such as data warehouses, data modeling, data mining and ETL/ELT.
• Proficiency in SQL and data analysis.
• 2+ years of ETL development using SAP Data Services preferred.

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Microsoft Power BI required for report development.
• Microsoft Power Automate for process automation.
• Administration and use of MS SQL Server databases including querying, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical terms.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure the highest level of quality in developing solutions.
• Ability to function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, customer-oriented team, perform effectively and demonstrated willingness to support the team on all levels to get the job done.
• Excellent verbal and written communication

Desired Education:

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems is preferable. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
