MNS is hiring a Business Development Specialist for its California offices. This position has the option of being remote (with the ability to be in an office when necessary), or a having a hybrid work schedule with days in one of the nine Central Coast the office and days at home.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
MNS Engineers is seeking a client-focused, highly motivated, organized and creative Business Development Specialistto support our California offices. Reporting to the Business Development Assistant Director, the BD Specialist will be responsible for the successful implementation of client-based strategic marketing/Business Development for MNS' expanding regions. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, develop BD/marketing initiatives, and implement strategies to win new clients and expand and enhance our relationships with existing clients.
As our BD Specialist you will be responsible for the management and updates of Business Development materials, including writing, editing and production; research to support Business Development initiatives, management of Deltek VantagePoint Client Relationship Management (CRM) system including data input quality, reporting and customized systems; support and development of project awards and client presentations; organization and planning of clients events, conferences, tradeshows; and creation and development of press releases and corporate social media posts.
The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills working within a collaborative environment, goal-oriented and self-motivated. They will also need a positive demeanor, desire to learn and a passion for working with multi-faceted teams.
Requirements:You should have experience in the AEC industry in Business Development/marketing and enjoy working with cross-functional teams. Client relationship management and networking skills are key. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), Deltek Vision/VantagePoint and digital marketing platforms.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or similar and a minimum of 2 years commensurate experience OR minimum 5 years of commensurate experience reflecting increasing responsibility within the field.

- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised.
- Client Relationship Management (CRM) database experience.
- Advanced skills in MS Office software applications, and Deltek Vision/VantagePoint.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) required. Skills in Illustrator, After Effects, PremierPro a plus.
