The key focus for the US Onshore business is to acquire, explore and develop properties to produce natural gas, oil and NGL from underground reservoirs safely and efficiently. Key operated assets are in the Eagle Ford shale basin in South Texas. With over 2,000 well producing net 36kBOE per day.
Owning and operating producing US onshore assets is part of INEOS Energy's strategy to build a global integrated portfolio, fit for the energy transition, offering high-quality energy solutions to its customers.
About the job
Job Title: Business Development Reservoir Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Development Reservoir Engineer to help grow the newly formed US onshore division. This role will be within the Business Development group and will report to the VP of Business Development. The successful candidate will lead reservoir and economic evaluation of acquisition opportunities within the Eagle Ford, in addition to prospects across North America. Through collaboration with the Subsurface team and the greater US onshore division, the Business Development group will work to understand value creation drivers for Ineos, and propose accretive opportunities that help the company increase in scale and profitability.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in identifying and evaluating opportunities in the Eagle Ford and other targeted basins
• Develop and deliver comprehensive technical evaluations that provide actionable insights and a data-driven perspective to inform business decisions
• Utilize cross discipline data sets, including geologic, reservoir, land, operational, and financial information, to guide Business Development workflow and proposals
• Utilize economic evaluation parameters such as NPV, F&D, and EBITDA to ascribe and communicate value
• Aggregate data and analyze production performance using methods such as decline curve analysis, pressure transient analysis, and rate transient analysis to perform local and basin level production performance evaluations
• Participate in marketed processes and data room evaluations
• Assist and coordinate due diligence efforts and integration of acquired assets
• Stay abreast of industry transactions, emerging trends, and best practices related to upstream onshore oil and gas
Qualifications:
• Authorization to work in the USA
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in Business Development or Reservoir engineering, with a focus on onshore unconventional oil and gas reservoirs
• Proficiency in tools and systems used for reservoir characterization and technical/economic analysis (eg. ComboCurve, ARIES, Enverus Prism, PowerBI, etc) as well as basic MS Office products
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillset, with capabilities of dealing with large datasets and statistical approaches
• Notable ability to interpret large reservoir, expense, and finance datasets to provide actionable insights
• Strong understanding of geology, reservoir mechanics, fluid flow, and production optimization techniques
• Experience with standard Reservoir Engineering principles and evaluation workflows, such as well performance analysis, pressure transient analysis, and decline curve analysis
• Familiarity with economic analysis and project evaluation methods, with hands on experience with conducting economic evaluations in unconventional basins
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to indirectly lead and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and summarize conclusions and recommendations clearly
• Demonstrated commitment to adhering to high standards with regards to safety and environment
Relocation:
Preferential treatment will be granted to candidates residing in the Denver, Colorado metropolitan area.

Compensation & Benefits
Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation.
Compensation:
The annual rate for this position generally ranges between $142,000 - $210,000 with an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, of up to 27% of eligible pay. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs, business performance to metrics, and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.
