JOB SUMMARY
The Leeds School of Business Advancement at the University of Colorado Boulder encourages applications for a Development Coordinator! This position serves as a frontline development officer responsible for successfully nurturing personal relationships with alumni and donors who have proven an interest in supporting the institution but are not at the major gift level yet and soliciting their philanthropic support. Interaction with alumni and donors will focus on primarily virtual individualized meetings/calls to nurture the personal ownership and pride in the role of philanthropy for Leeds’ continued success.

Responsibilities:
WHAT YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE
- Cultivate existing and new donor relationships with leadership annual and major gift prospects with the intent of sustaining and increasing donor engagement and support for the University.
- Develop and manage a portfolio of 150 prospects capable of making Dean’s Society gifts and upgrade donors using varied methods of solicitation
- Goals will be set relating to core metrics including personal visits, moves, and assists to be set with and established with the Senior Director.
- Meet with prospective donors on campus.
- Use remote technology to connect with prospective donors out of state.
- Work with Annual Giving team to prospect potential donors and craft semi-personalized communications.
- Contact Dean’s Society donors and likely prospects who live outside the typical travel zone for development officers, this includes:
- Phone calls
- Emails
- Texting
- Hand-written notes
- Contact all first-time donors with a personalized narrative; invitation for a phone call to connect about their reason for giving and to share the impact of their generosity.
- Align donor interests with strategic priorities and opportunities at Leeds. Work closely with faculty and staff to facilitate gifts conversations and investments in programs across Leeds and CU Boulder.
- Mange internal relationships, including with the CU Foundation team, to ensure that we deliver on our promises to donors and their investments. Oversee timely and accurate completion of all stages of work to close gifts to Leeds.
Other Development Duties
- A daily commitment to collaboration, innovation, and excellence
- Build new relationships. Conduct discovery meeting with alumni and other constituents to gauge opportunities to bring individuals and businesses into our work.
- Represent the Leeds School at events and use school engagements as opportunities to deepen donors’ relationships with Leeds and CU Boulder.
- Facilitate non-event engagements such as volunteer opportunities and student interactions to strategically build relationships in ways that leverage prospects time, talent, and professional expertise.
- Craft meaningful stewardship communication for personalized leverage by this role and other development officers.
- Support the stewardship and cultivation processes in partnership with Annual Giving Manager to showcase the impact of Annual Giving donors and cultivate toward larger gifts.
- Responsible for special projects as requested by leadership and performs other administrative duties as assigned.
