POSITION SUMMARY:We are looking for a creative, resilient, and ambitious Business Development Representative to extend our presence in Southern California. Ideally, this person will be located in Orange County or San Diego.
As a BDR, you will be the first point of contact for all of our prospective customers, and responsible for generating qualified sales opportunities that consistently result in exceeding your territory's goals. You will be the first point of contact for all of our prospective customers and responsible for generating leads and warm introductions to your Account Executive teammate.

$44,000.00-$48,000.00 base salary + $29,0000.00-$32,000.00 variable/commissions compensation
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Connect with prospective customers via personalized outreach (e.g., cold calls, emails, market visits, trade shows, social, and any other way you can think of!). Don’t worry, we’ll provide you with a list of target accounts and contact information :)
- Develop and optimize multi-channel, multi-touch cadences to ensure you maximize lead generation
- Lead discovery calls, qualify leads, and transition them into high value sales appointments for your territory's Field Account Executive
- Prepare for calling prospects by researching regional trends and customer needs
- Log all interactions with leads in our CRM, including contact, account, and deal information
- Articulate Swing’s value proposition while maintaining an up-to-date understanding of our competitors
- Are ambitious, competitive, love winning as a team, and continually working on being better personally and professionally.
- Are resilient, adaptable, organized, and goal-oriented with a laser focus on getting things done
- Have 1-2 years of experience in sales or customer service
- Are extremely comfortable and truly enjoy connecting with strangers and getting them to do most of the talking while you listen attentively
- Know how to deliver engaging presentations and communicate super clearly and succinctly, whether verbally or in writing
- Have a track record of exceeding your goals
- Understand basic sales performance metrics and how to use a CRM
- Have hands-on experience with sales prospecting techniques and in the K12 education space
