The Role
We are looking for a high-energy, driven professional with strong business acumen, strong technical aptitude, and a desire for a fast-track career in sales to join Fusion as a Business Development Representative (BDR). In this role, you will be part of a dynamic, enthusiastic, and strategic sales team, and you will be responsible for seeking new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers, in order to boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth. Our BDR role is a critical role for us that will allow you to build a strong foundation that will help open doors to new internal career development opportunities.
Specifically, you will:
- Create and prioritize strategic account and contact lists within our CRM (Salesforce).
- Contact potential customers through cold calls and emails, exceeding an established weekly activity minimum.
- Present Fusion to potential customers, identifying their needs and suggesting appropriate solutions.
- Build long-term trusting relationships with customers
- Set up meetings or calls between prospective customers and Fusion’s Account Executives
- Stay current with Fusion’s evolving suite of products and services
- Achieve quarterly quotas of qualified opportunity pipeline (number of opportunities and total pipeline value) and closed business.
- Develop strong partnerships with Account Executives to result in strategic improvements around territory outreach
Milestones for the First Six Months
In one month, you'll:
Complete all HR related onboarding requirements
Build baseline understanding of Fusion’s offerings and the industry
Participate in Business Development training
Become proficient in Business Development technology stack
Start prospecting into target accounts
In three months, you’ll:
Sharing progress on outreach success in your territory
Build to full volume of activity expectations
Participate in role playing and strategic discussions with the team
Start receiving inbound leads
Ramp period is finished
Relationship established with assigned sales representatives
Creating sales cadences and talk tracks
In six months, you’ll:
Have a strong, working knowledge of the Business Development technology stack, Fusion’s solutions, and the industry
Manage day-to-day tasks without the need of significant support from BDR leadership
Provide suggestions for continuous improvement
Strong understanding of how to build messaging based on prospect role and industry
Develop strong partnerships with AE to result in strategic improvements around territory outreach
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Motivation, drive, and a self-starting attitude, with a desire for continuous learning
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to multi-task, take initiative, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Qualifications
Preferred experience sales automation and prospecting tools (ex: ZoomInfo, Salesloft, LinkedIn)
Preferred experience using a CRM (such as Salesforce)
BA/BS Preferred
