Our customers, whom we refer to as partners, are Managed Service Providers (MSPs) that are managing a complex modern IT stack – from cloud services like Office 365 and G Suite to network devices, apps, services, and databases. They love us because Liongard gives them deep visibility into all the systems and configurations they manage. Liongard brings it all back to one unified dashboard, which allows them to troubleshoot issues faster, track changes over time, receive alerts when something is misconfigured, and generate reports across all their environments and systems.
The Role
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a key role in our company. As a BDR you will be responsible for outbound activities including calling, emailing and social media prospecting new customers and creating First Time Appointments for sales pipeline generation.
To be successful in this role you must have a lot of tenacity. In addition, the ability to uncover and qualify prospective needs, identify opportunities, and areas Liongard can bring value.
You also must be passionate about contributing to the kind of team that promotes our culture and teach prospective customers about the benefits of Liongard. We execute as a team and expect strong collaboration to ensure consistent communication within the Revenue team and across all major functions of the company.
Responsibilities Include
- Call and email prospective customers
- Social Media prospecting via LinkedIn
- Schedule first-time appointments for prospects to engage with the sales team
- Identify customers’ needs and share how Liongard can assist them
- Work directly with a Regional Sales Manager to exceed revenue targets within a defined territory
- Quota carrying for outbound activities
- Respond to day-to-day inquiries generated by marketing
- Work to qualify marketing leads
- Pre/Post activities, setup, and attendance at a tradeshow and in-person events
- Communicate with co-workers through e-mail, Slack, and/or verbally
- Adapt to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
- Great at time management & multitasking
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of progressive direct/outbound sales experience
- Demonstrated outbound (hunting) skills.
- Proven track record of outbound activity, quality, and customer focus
- Any Managed Service Provider experience and or MSP channel products is a big plus
- Previous experience working for, or selling to IT Managed Services Providers is a plusStrong in-person and on-screen presentation skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Experience with general IT Infrastructure
- Experience with Salesforce
- Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Education
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
