Position Summary:
Vallen’s Exclusive Brand - Business Development Manager roll is an individual contributor position that supports the overall conversion and sales growth for the Exclusive Brands product offering. This position is responsible for developing appropriate strategies that drive Exclusive Brands sales growth in the US. The Exclusive Brands - Business Development Manager will lead and manage Business Development activities for new and existing EB Categories.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Deliver year over year, profitable revenue growth for Vallen Exclusive Brands.
- Responsible for Industrial and Integrated Supply Business Development.
- Facilitate monthly performance and opportunity review meetings with business owners.
- Identify and deliver share of wallet growth opportunities.
- Create customer specific strategies for Exclusive Brands conversion.
- Travel to customer locations when appropriate
- Work with Vallen associates and directly with Vallen customers to drive Exclusive Brands growth.
- Ensure appropriate technical skills to support Exclusive Brands with Vallen Associates and customers.
- Provide technical, process and sale training to Vallen associates.
- Actively manage the Exclusive Brands conversion tool.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year College
- 3-5 years of technical and sales experience in industrial distribution.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience that gives the individual the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.
Requirements:
Must be a self-starter, work independently with little supervision, and have demonstrated effective time management, project planning, goal setting, organizational and execution skills.
- Must have a strong understanding of our customers needs and how Vallen Exclusive Brands delivery a high value solution.
- Must have strong selling and negotiating skills.
- Must have the ability to analyze customer spend data and create strategic conversion solutions.
- Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines while producing quality work products.
