The CPG Business Development Manager will seek and identify sales leads and pitch services to new clients within a brokerage environment. This person will build key client relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate, and close business deals while maintaining knowledge of current market conditions. The CPG Business Development Manager will help to develop all verticals of our business including Asset trucking, Non-Asset LTL & TL trucking, Pneumatic tanks, Ambient Warehousing, Cold Storage, Kitting and Repackaging and Valupackaging.
Requirements:- Develop new customer relationships based on supplied leads
- Build and nurture existing customer relationships
- Solicit new and existing customers for freight opportunities
- Manage all account communication in a timely and professional manner
- Assist customers in identifying services that fit their needs and provide information on additional services
- Actively manage follow-up of leads and existing accounts
- Source capacity to meet customer needs
- Complete pricing requests and customer bids
- Work directly with operations and account management to support customer accounts
- Build a profitable book of business by generating and developing new business opportunities
- Negotiate, build, and maintain long-term partnerships with both new and existing clients
- Generate leads by cold calling potential clients, understanding client needs, and identifying sales opportunities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all of Wavepoint3PL's products and services, as well as those of our competitors
- Close new business and meet monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets
- Make timely and professional decisions while maintaining service standards and profitably
- Communicate promptly and efficiently, providing clear, concise, and consistent status updates, with external clients as well as internal support teams

Desired Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of successful B2B sales experience, and a proven track record in 3PL transportation/logistics.
- Bachelor's degree or (equivalent experience)
- 2 years of experience in a sales and cold-calling environment
- Excellent communicator across all channels
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Highly motivated self-starter, tactfully relentless and disciplined, as well as a Team Player.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
