Job Title: Business Development and Office Manager

Job Summary:
Business development managers are responsible for driving business growth within a company. They develop a network of contacts to attract new clients, research new market opportunities and oversee growth projects, making sales projections and forecasting revenue, in line with projected income. The Director of Business Development is responsible for growing new and existing business with new and existing customers. The priority will be to cultivate and develop new business opportunities selling the services we can provide to customers. This will be achieved with working with Marketing to develop warm leads through different marketing channels including but not limited to social media campaigns, blogs, email campaigns, and advertising. It will be a priority to develop warm leads, but cold calling will be required. It is important this position can cultivate opportunities.
Full Time (in office and remote) Monday - Friday
Supervisory Responsibilities - Managment of less that 3 employees
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Creating development plans and forecasting sales targets and growth projections
- Identifying market opportunities through meetings, networking and other channels
- Meeting existing and potential clients and building positive relationships
- Liaising with colleagues to develop sales and marketing strategies
- Preparing financial projections and sales targets
- Attending events such as exhibitions and conferences
- Preparing sales presentations and participating in sales meetings
- Producing reports for management
- Training business developers and sales colleagues
- Working in a client's business or in an office
- Prospects continuously for new clients through a variety of techniques, including telephone solicitation and cold calling.
- Maintains current list of all prospects in electronic database as specified by company.
- Develops pricing and Business Development strategies in collaboration with and under the direction executive management.
- Works with company to focus sales efforts on developed and graded leads and in developing campaigns to maximize sales efforts.
- Follows-up on referrals and self-generated leads to identify buyer influences and any timing issues; monitors prospects' contract calendars; prepares reports on status of leads and other reports as required.
- Plans prospect visits with appropriate operations personnel, such as the responsible local management.
- Performs sales presentations to prospective customers.
- Meets regularly with new clients to assess level of satisfaction with services and to develop a list of strong referrals.
- Develops and submits proposals
- Enhances and maintains Business Development skills through participating in a variety of training programs as assigned.
- Performs additional functions, duties and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary in order to achieve assigned business objectives.
- This position must possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work alone as well with a virtual team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven effective management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
- Bilingual is a PLUS
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Three years of sales experience, and at least one year of management experience.
- Experience designing and implementing effective training and development programs.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
