Our client, a leader in the in the Commercial Flooring business, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager. As a Business Development Manager, you will be the face of our client and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy, working with Operations to create a consistent revenue stream. The key function is to find new deals, close deals and maintain current accounts. This role is supported internally by an estimating team that will provide support, perform takeoffs, and prepare cost estimates and proposals. The goal is to produce sustainable financial growth by boosting sales, increasing profit margins, and forging strong relationships with clients that drive repeat business for the Company. This role reports directly to the General Manager of the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on increasing repeatable revenue streams as well as customer satisfaction.
- Promote the company’s products/services while addressing and/or predicting clients’ needs and buying patterns.
- Arrange business meetings with prospective clients, gather information about their needs, present solutions and close deals.
- Keep records of sales revenue, profit margins, KPI’s, etc.
- Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years working experience as a Business Development/account manager in the Commercial Flooring industry.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills including the ability to meet deadlines and cope under pressure.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills as evidenced by a proven sales track record.
- Competent and comfortable cold calling, making drop-in appointments and giving presentations to large groups.
- A track record of following through on commitments.
- Provide weekly updates to management through detailed reports
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Pipedrive).
- Proficient in English.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or a related field preferred.
BENEFITS & COMPENSATION:
- $90,000 - $130,000 (base) plus the opportunity to earn up to $70,000 in commissions annually.

WORK LOCATION & TRAVEL: Work hours generally 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM. This position will spend the majority of the time in the field. Territory covers all of Washington and Oregon state.
