Business Development Manager

Job Summary:
As the Business Development Manager, you will have the primary responsibility to acquire new clients and reactivate current clients who need support finding employees. Our business is to find high-quality employees for these clients in Contract to Hire, Direct Hire, and some Temporary positions. Detailed training will give you insight into techniques and tools that will facilitate your success. In this role, you will report to the Owner of PrideStaff Portland who is a seasoned and professionally trained Sales Executive with more than 20 years of corporate sales success. Your territory has virtually unlimited potential and with focus and hard work, you will succeed! In this role, you will call on potential companies, meet with decision-makers and manage the sales process.
Target Clients:
Our client base is primarily, locally owned and operated companies. We have also work with large national companies. In essence, most businesses will require our services. Your focus will be on both new potential clients as well as companies that we have worked with in the past.
Skills and Experience:
- Sales experience is required and you will be educated on the sales techniques and skills necessary to be successful in this role.
- Experience in written communication in the business environment.
- Strong customer service and relationship skills
- You must be able to work independently.
- Must have strong basic computer skills and be able to use MS Word and Excel
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or AA with appropriate experience
- Personal Car in good working condition
Compensation:
- Target $70,000 to $80,000 in the first year with performance to objectives. This is a mix of base pay and earned bonuses. Successful Business Development Managers can earn more than $100,000!
- Basic expenses are covered, Fuel, cell phone, etc.
