Our team has a new and exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager (Platforms and Flooring)! This newly created role will be responsible for developing distributor channel partners and OEM's for Wearwell products. The primary areas of focus will be distributors and/or OEM's of industrial machinery that market platforms and ergonomic matting/flooring products as accessories and industrial flooring distributors and/or installers.
This position is a remote/home office role.
Key Responsibilities:
- This is a proactive role requiring a driven, self-starter to perform ongoing outreach to initiate, develop, and nurture strong relationships with potential distributors and OEM's primarily in the eastern half of the USA.
- Incumbent will establish revenue goals, maintain a sales pipeline based on ongoing customer activity and become a Wearwell products subject matter expert of applications, installation, and support.
- Communicate internally regarding overall sales activity to avoid potential channel conflicts.
- Participate in local and regional trade shows according to the marketing plans.
- Utilize Salesforce CRM for customer and distributor accounts and contacts, forecasting product demand and managing new and current sales opportunities.
- Provide input to Wearwell's management team on market conditions, competitive activity, customer expectations/trends, and B2B expectations with distributors and end users and any other information important to the execution of the overall strategic business plan.
- Ability to travel (including overnight travel) up to 60% required.
- React positively to change and perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of industrial sales management sales experience; experience selling directly to end-user customers in retail, medical and/or industrial market and/or equivalent education or experience in job-related activities required.
- General safety products experience preferred.
- Ability to influence decision makers at all levels.
- Experience working with manufacturer's representatives and distributors.
- Experience managing a large, multi-state territory.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, and integrity in work ethic.
- Successfully manage organizational change initiatives.
- Ability to work independently, adhere to work schedule and manage regular duties with minimal supervision from a home office environment that is quiet and free from distraction.
