General Position Summary
This position is responsible for prospecting, engaging, discovery, proposal of solutions and pricing, closing and post closing sales activities in the assigned territory to achieve the company's revenue goal by performing the following duties.
Essential Job Functions
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (INCLUDING ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS)
PLANNING
- Responsible to set annual revenue goals by providing the account closing by size in timeline and its achievement.
- Map out necessary activities from the annual revenue goals and amount of account (by size) you will need to close according to timeline set at beginning of each year.
- Responsible to enter accurate, detailed information using CRM. Using GIGO methodology, enter as accurate and detailed information as possible for each account.
- Responsible to enter and update activities using CRM. Sales meeting, phone conversation, important email conversation, quotes, anything related to accounts must be recorded within the same day
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Prospecting accounts using various available tools, such as but not limited to Datamyne, local and national associations, networking, referral, existing contacts, etc.
- Qualify the accounts using “Relational vs. Transactional” account methodology, volume of business in comparison with your revenue goals, competitor, trade lanes, etc
- Responsible for understanding what customers do by studying their web site, transaction details, market information.
- Using 30 second commercial, responsible to initiate conversation with prospects
- By using “proving pain” methodology, conduct discovery and engage with clients
- Responsible to provide solution to the “proving pain” methodology, as well as provide pricing / quotation to client
- Responsible to discover and pinpoint correct decision maker of each prospects
- Responsible to understand the timeline, by asking “what is the next step”
- Responsible to bring in necessary specialists or resources available throughout the company close the accounts.
- Responsible to engage account manager in final engagement and closing accounts
- Responsible to write up SOP (Standard Operating Procedure), establishment of credit, obtaining POA, all other necessary documentation / information to operate the account
- Responsible to work with Account Manager to ensure that “on board process” is completed smoothly and seamlessly
- Responsible to conduct post-sales thru following up, QPR and/or APR. As necessary, responsible to get involved in any issues arisen in specific to the accounts.
- Responsible to step in and resolve any outstanding AR
GENERAL
- Responsible to attend frequent sales conference call, training and/or national conference.
- Accountability of your work (responsibility) to your co-worker, company, agents and customer
- Any project that is assigned by supervisor/manager and/or the Company.
- Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.
- Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by senior management.
- Maintains high ethical standards in the work place.
- Reports all irregular issues and problems to supervisors for solution.
- Maintains good communication with supervisors, other staff members and outside contacts.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area
