Insero Talent Solutions has partnered with a reputable engineering services company to recruit a Business Development Manager in Rochester, NY.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for helping the organization to obtain better brand recognition and financial growth within their market. Their primary role will be to identify new opportunities available and to cultivate existing relationships. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of the electronics design process and demonstrates expert understanding of consultative solutions.
Specific Duties:
- Maintain current client relationship and identifying areas for potential clients
- Attend industry specific tradeshows to identify new opportunities, cultivate brand awareness and research market trends
- Contacting potential clients to establish a business relationship and meet with them
- Develop new sales areas and improving sales through various methods
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers on contracts
- Develop a strong understanding of company products or services
- Build market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships
- Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
- Plan, develop and oversee the overall Business Development strategy for company financial success
- Build strong relationships (networking) with industry professionals, competitors, vendors and other personnel
- Must have the ability to travel up to 20%
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering
- 5+ years’ experience successfully selling complex service solutions
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Must be a critical thinker, problem solver and possess the technical skills required to create proposals and find solutions to meet future customer requirements, such as using company resources, technologies
- Excellent organizational skills to meet goals, set priorities and hit deadlines
- Be proactive, organized and handle work under stressful and uncertain environments
- Closing skills, negotiation skills, motivation for sales, selling to customer’s needs, market knowledge
