Mobile Illumination provides expert electrical contracting performed by licensed professionals. We serve both residential and commercial markets. The Electrical Contracting Business Development Manager (BDM) interacts in professional settings with an audience of prospective clients, to engage, qualify and set job walks for electrical contracting engagements with new customers. Individual positivity and driven personality will enable this specialist to build and promote the Mobile Illumination brand and mission.

Ideal candidates should:

  • Be a self-driven, ambitious sales professional.
  • Support the sales initiatives related to Electrical Contracting Services.
  • Have experience in working with construction contractors and commercial accounts.
  • Demonstrate ability to learn and understand Mobile Illumination service strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting new sales through prospecting and lead generation.
  • Build/Maintain sales pipeline (early stages) and drive the close of new business.
  • Develop and execute initiatives to reach new prospects and companies (i.e. via LinkedIn).
  • Leverage industry contacts (both current and via networking activities).
  • Collaborate with other departments to design the solution, present the proposal, negotiate, and close the contract.
  • Develop long-term relationships with acquired accounts.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Education or experience in selling B2B electrical contracting projects.
  • 5+ years of proven sales success and proven accomplishments in hitting defined target sales quota.
  • Self-directed productivity and goal setting with limited guidance.
  • BS/BA or MS Degree in Business Management or Engineering.

  • Experienced and efficient with excellent people skills, business capabilities and an exemplary work ethic.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Creative thinking and proactive problem solving.
  • Ability to question, qualify leads and prepare clients for job walks.
  • Ability to lead job walks.
  • Poised as an industry expert and subject matter expert to decision makers.
  • Self-directed proficiency with the ability to work independently on assigned projects or tasks.
