Are you seeking a rewarding opportunity within the defense industry?  if so, Serco may have the perfect opportunity for you!  Serco is seeking a Earned Value Management Analyst supporting the Amphibious Warfare Program Office in Washington DC. In this role you will provide over-arching Earned Value support to a major NAVSEA shipbuilding program office (both cost and schedule analysis).

 

This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance post-employment.

 

Serco supports the Navy as subcontractor to the prime for their Amphibious Warfare Program; specifically Business Financial Management (BFM) Support. The BFM team supports the Financial Management Division in support of the Landing, Helicopter, Assault (LHA), of the Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC), of the new Landing Craft Utility (LCU) 1700, and of the new Ship to Shore Connector (SSC) programs.  

 

In this role, you will:

  • Provide over-arching Earned Value support to a major NAVSEA shipbuilding program office (both cost and schedule analysis).
  • Experience with Visual Basic and updating/troubleshooting macros in MS Excel.
  • Prepare monthly Earned Value brief for the Program Manager (PM) and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide insightful/value added analysis of cost and schedule data - Solicit program performance from major shipbuilding contractors.
  • Provide analysis of Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in its native format, including but not limited to driven and critical path analysis, IMS health assessments, vertical and horizontal integration alignments and logic analysis.
  • Generate spreadsheets and graphics to enhance report, analyzing cost variances, schedule variances and baseline changes.
  • Active participant in Integrated Baseline Reviews.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled Quarterly Program Reviews, Risk meetings, MS Teams, and other meetings, as appropriate.
  • Draft, maintain and consolidate the weekly Earned Value Action Items.
  • Provide input for the 10 day letter referencing Earned Value and financial splinters.
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Deltek Acumen Fuse and 14-point assessments
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field and 5-7 years of EV experience in a government environment.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain an active DoD Secret clearance post-employment.
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to perform frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in order to carry a laptop, notebooks, papers, binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions.
  • 10% travel required

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Experience in Primavera Scheduling is a plus.
