Our ‘Fish Friday’ team at Acme Smoked Fish seeks a Summer Intern who exudes these attributes. We want you to help us research, plan, and execute growth initiatives within our Fish Friday operation, where you will have the opportunity to experience what it is like to run a business – from production planning, staffing, marketing and brand development to customer support and operations.
What You Will Do At Acme:
- You will conduct a comprehensive analysis of the smoked salmon retail space and build a mock development plan for further retail market penetration.
- You will research and develop new opportunities to increase sales at Fish Friday.
- You will assist with all functions of leading and operating our Fish Friday operation.
Your Education & Experience:
- Recently completed or working towards an undergraduate degree in business, entrepreneurship, or relevant field.
- Strong analytical aptitude preferred.
- Must possess and maintain positive attitude.
Your Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships across the organization.
- Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Results/action-orientation; project management skills.
- Ability to listen effectively, respect other perspectives and contributions, and offer and accept constructive feedback.
- Unquestionable personal code of ethics, integrity, diversity, and trust.
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,); Web proficiency.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer and prolonged periods of standing.
- Ability to work in colder temperatures with appropriate PPE.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Compensation: $17.00/hr - $23.00/hr.
