Shift: Monday-Friday 8-4:30
Department: MUPC Therapy
Salary Range: $16.68 per hour to $26.31 per hour (Pay based on experience)

Essential Functions:

Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team members by participating in morning rounds and providing a daily summary of student observations.

Communicate effectively with the student's school, by requesting Individualized Education Plans, homework, discipline reports, transcripts, behavior plans, and aftercare as needed.

Demonstrate a repertoire of behavior management skills to assist patient participation in educational activities.

Demonstrate interpersonal communication skills that are respectful and collaborative.

Develop, implement, and evaluate individual student educational plans and needs through communication with the student.

May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.

Required Qualifications:

Special Education Teaching Certificate by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) board.

One (1) year of Special Education teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree

Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
