What You’ll Do
L+M offers a comprehensive summer internship program. As part of our Mixed-Income Development team (“LMXD”), you will be aiding in the mission is to expand that focus and to develop transformative mixed-income, mixed-use projects with a focus on culture, community, and sustainability both within the New York region and across the country. This is an excellent opportunity for a smart, city-loving real estate development graduate student to join an entrepreneurial endeavor within an industry leading platform and to help grow a civically impactful and profitable business.
During the ten-week program, interns will be expected to work independently and collectively as part of a team. An understanding of real estate finance is required (and successful applicants may be asked to demonstrate this through a brief exercise.). Specific duties will vary depending on the team but include tasks similar to these:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collecting due diligence materials
- Financial analysis of a project or property
- Coordination of meetings of project teams
- Assisting with an RFP
- Site visits and market analysis
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Pursuing a graduate college degree.
- Real Estate, Real Estate Finance, Investment, Urban Planning, Business majors preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
