What to Expect:
Our paid summer internship gives you the opportunity to work on multiple projects and gain real-world experience in the multi-family housing industry outside of the classroom. As aDevelopment Intern, you will apply the knowledge you’ve gained in the classroom, while also receiving support by your department team and manager.
Gain exposure to market research, submarket analysis and performing acquisitions due diligence
Learn about current multi-family deal flow in designated markets
Work with project managers on building, managing and maintaining pipeline of land for new development
Identify potential development sites and evaluate multi-family land opportunities
Work with financial models to evaluate economic viability of potential development opportunities
Prepare investment memoranda and presentation materials
Education:
Undergraduate or graduate-level degree in Real Estate Development or related field or MBA
Experience:
Previous intern experience in real estate or business preferred
Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities
Demonstrated interested in real estate
Skills:
Proven adaptability to changing strategies and priorities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Basic financial acumen
Ability to negotiate with others
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Ability to collaborate with others
Additional Requirements:
Must not require visa sponsorship currently or in the future
Some work-from-home flexibility but most work must be done in the Midtown office
Salary range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
