What you'll do:
- Sales / Business Development - via phone/email (50%)
- Act as the company SME for the Field Based Sales team (50%)
- Works with IIoT Solutions Manager to identify ideas for market share growth and in removing hurdles to success.
- Teams with marketing manager to develop IIoT value messaging, plans, and programs for assigned market consistent with market demands and long-term profitability.
- Teams with product management on IIoT product development, migration and enhancement. Take an active role in the IIoT global development team (requires infrequent travel to Europe).
- Recommends IIoT market based product positioning, packaging and pricing strategies to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
- Provides detailed information and costs for IIoT and VEGA Inventory System opportunities for use in proposals, quoting, and discussion with customers.
- Works with others in outside sales on large IIoT potential projects and meets with customers as opportunities warrant. Evaluates long-term potential of partnerships and offerings to assigned markets.
- Facilitates lloT startup and training of partners' engineering, sales service, and marketing teams.
- Presents activity reports to sales management.
- Gathers feedback and input on current and new IIoT product concepts and provides feedback for future product development related to potential and existing customers and markets.
- Establishes strategic product goals to meet corporate objectives and increase market share and profitability of IIoT products software and services offered.
- Requires 25% overnight travel.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university;
- At least 3 years of Sales experience, virtual/remote sales of a Business Solution preferred
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Texas based, Houston area preferred
