The opportunity

As part of Teva’s “Pivot to Growth” strategy, global Business Development is a key pillar of the strategic framework for short-and long-term growth in the Innovative Medicines business. Global Business development encompasses the full spectrum of external opportunities as a critical growth engine with in-and out-licensing opportunities, strategic partnership opportunities, M&A for diversification, bolt-on, and/or inorganic growth opportunities, along with monetizing divestiture opportunities with non-core assets and non-core businesses.

 

This role will play a crucial role as a key partner within the Business Development team and the senior management team. This position involves developing tactical and strategic execution to achieve department goals. The role includes overseeing the team's engagement in evaluating investment, partnership opportunities and other Business Development activities. 

How you’ll spend your day

  • Assess the scientific rational or mechanisms of action for different drug candidates through scientific research, database and review of articles
  • Lead due diligence processes by screening/consolidating data and coordinating between broad interdisciplinary teams
  • Support the complex financial models to evaluate potential acquisition targets and/or in-licensing opportunities 
  • Identify relevant BD targets via meetings with external companies, visit conferences and use industry databases. 
  • Preparation of materials such as presentations/reports and other deliverables to support the departments activities

Your experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life science degree
  • Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in life science disciplines (Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, Medical science) is a plus
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Business Development, Project Management.  Prior experience in investment banking or strategic consultancy firm is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical & presentation skills and have a unique attention for details 
  • Ability to handle high volume of work in a rapidly changing & intensive work environment
  • High communication and interpersonal skills
