We are seeking an experienced Automotive Systems Business Development (BD) Manager (ADAS) to join NXP's Automotive Go-To-Market (GTM) team. This incredible opportunity requires deep knowledge of the ADAS subsystems, with a specific focus on Radar systems as well as Processing, capability to weigh architectural tradeoffs, and leadership to build business case/value propositions for the best solution for Automotive OEMs. This is a strategically important role with high visibility.
You will be responsible for being the Automotive customers trusted adviser for the ADAS subsystem - including serving as a systems architect's trusted advisor, bridging OEM/NXP roadmap wants and needs, driving strategy and building business cases to justify future NXP investments, building value proposition/narratives, and holding NXP team's accountable to our commitments. This is a senior level position within a highly skilled team, where Business Development is a technical role.
Key Areas of Responsibility
• Understand, tailor, and communicate NXP technical and business value propositions of existing solutions.
• Serve as a technical advisor to the Automotive system architects to help shape NXP's future roadmaps and value propositions to meet Automotive OEMs needs.
• Collaborate with NXP business line and engineering leadership to define business cases/solutions that will intersect OEM needs in the timeframe required.
• Build a strong network of key stakeholders at the customer established based on critical insights, real-time/quality support, and solution value.
• Hold yourself and team members accountable to our commitments to ensure successful engagements.
Requirements:
• BS in Electrical, Computer, or Computer Science Engineering required. Masters in EE/CE/CSC desired.
• Previous Business Development, architecture, or applications engineering experience with ADAS sub-systems, with particular focus and understanding of Radar and Processing within these systems. Capable of thoroughly understanding technical/business tradeoffs of the system architecture and ability to articulate these between customer development teams and our business lines.
• Understanding of overall market, trends, future & emerging concepts.
• Self-Starter who is capable to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty to drive clear outcomes.
• Experiencing in building underpinned business cases to justify critical R&D investments.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken (experience in dealing with diverse customers, cultures and functions).
• Regular cadence driving strategy and alignment with senior executives
• Willing to travel domestically ~ 25% of the time
• Existing automotive OEM experience is required
