Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- First aid certificate/ CPR certified.
- Experience with bus safety and procedures.
- Ensures safety of children including securing safety belts, car seats, and wheelchairs on buses; restraining violent children, attending to minor medical and personal hygiene needs; and helping students to and from buses and vehicles.
- Communicates clearly and professionally with students, parents, and other district personnel.
- Monitors student behavior and ensures safety measures are followed.
- Participates in bus evacuation drills and training.
- Assists driver in cleaning and making sure buses are equipped and stocked with supplies.
- Possesses knowledge of emergency procedures to handle various special education students.
- Reports undisciplined students to the proper authority and fills out required forms.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
