Job Description
Bookkeeping position open for skilled person with experience in Quickbooks Online. This position assists with various Accounting, such as: payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, processing and recording transactions The role is also responsible for organizing some administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of our office. To be a successful candidate you should understand basic Accounting principles and proficiency with computers and accounting software. You should be trustworthy, efficient, and organized. Experience in the construction industry a bonus. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required. Experience with QB online required.
Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain accounting and financial records
- Process payroll- Quickbooks Online
- May assist with other duties/projects as assigned.
- In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined based upon company needs.
- Perform Accounts Receivable (AR) Tasks, including processing check payments, mailing out invoices and statements.
- Perform Accounts Payable (AP) Tasks; including processing invoices, matching PO prior to entry, preparing invoices for payment, mailing out checks to vendors.
- Answer and direct incoming calls in a friendly, professional manner.
- Process mail received.
- File paperwork.
- Maintain vendor and customer databases
- Correspond with vendors to correct invoices
Job Requirements
- 3 years related bookkeeping experience with referrals
- Proficient in QuickBooks Accounting Software
- Proficient in MS Office software – Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge of processing employment applications
- Must possess working knowledge of general business financial transactions.
- Attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in written format and oral presentation.
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
- Exhibits initiative, responsibility, strong time management and prioritization skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
