```Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant with experience to join our team. As a Construction Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our daily operations and ensuring smooth administrative processes. Responsibilities:
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
- Assist with financial reporting and analysis
- Enter job costs by scopes work
- Support the implementation of financial concepts and best practices
- Utilize technical accounting knowledge to ensure compliance with GAAP
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Utilize software such as QuickBooks, Box, Excel and BuilderTrend to maintain financial records
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document management
- Assist the Builder/Owner with scheduling, following up with clients and vendors
- Maintain HR
-Weekly and bi-weekly payroll, direct deposits, payroll tax deposits, filing payroll tax forms, new hire reports, child support payments and W-2 through Quickbooks
- Maintain vendor and subcontractor information and 1099s
- Process partial and full lien releases
- Annual general liability and workers compensation insurance audits
- Annual business licenses and corporation filing
Skills:
- Knowledge of building scopes of work
- Ability to breakdown receipts to catagorize expenses to specific scopes of work
- Strong knowledge of balance sheet reconciliation and journal entry processes
- Familiarity with financial concepts and best practices
- Proficiency in technical accounting principles and compliance with GAAP
- Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Excel, Cloud Storage, BuilderTrend
- Ability to manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
