Bookkeeper

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate has experience in clerical accounting and possesses strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage is required. If you have a keen eye for detail and enjoy working with numbers, we would love to hear from you. Duties: - Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, recording transactions, and maintaining general ledgers - Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents - Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements - Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities - Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes - Process payroll and maintain employee records - Assist with tax preparation and filing - Maintain confidentiality of financial information Skills: - Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles - Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks and Sage - Familiarity with general ledger accounting - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) - Experience with budgeting and financial forecasting Note: This is a paid position. Internship positions must also be compensated.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.23 - $21.02 per hour

Expected hours: 18 – 22 per week
