Full Charge Bookkeeper
A Cedar Valley manufacturer is currently seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team! The Full Charge Bookkeeper is primarily responsible for maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions, payroll, accruals, and performing general accounting functions as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Oversee Accounts Receivable and maintain customer records.
● Accounts Payable and vendor records maintenance
● Bank deposits and cash receipts processing
● Reconcile company credit card statement and code to proper expense.
● Weekly/Monthly posting of journals and transactions in ERP software
● Prepare and Process payroll and all supporting payments (benefits, taxes, garnishments, etc.)
● Quarterly sales and payroll tax reporting
● Close fiscal months in ERP system
● Maintain required business documents and files.
● Prepare Annual 1099’s
● Prepare W-2’s, W-3’s and all associated government reporting.
● Compile annual reports required for CPA.
● Vendor statement reconciliation and discrepancies oversight
● Review of all expense reports for accuracy and proper expense coding
● Perform other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Management, or equivalent experience, preferred
● Proficient in accounting software (3 years minimum experience)
● 3-5 years Full Charge Bookkeeping experience or Accountant experience
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office
● Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
● Highly organized and detail-oriented
● Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision.
● Strong verbal and written communication skills
● Ability to interface well with all levels of employees and also outside contacts.
● Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
