Wellness Loud - a Podcast and Media Network is currently looking for a part-time, fully remote Bookkeeper.
The position will work directly with the CEO and Director of Operations assisting with day-to-day and monthly bookkeeping tasks and help the company stay organized and efficient. The ideal candidate should be proficient in organization skills, communication, and problem-solving. The candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks. Proficiency in accounting software is essential for this role.
Tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Monthly Bookkeeping Support
- Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
- Record/Categorize monthly transactions in QuickBooks/Monday
- Reconcile bank statements and business accounts and ensure discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
- Process payroll and employee expense reimbursements
- Prepare and provide financial statement reporting package to client
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (Including PandLs)
- Assist with budget preparation and monitoring
- Maintain an organized filing system for financial documents and records
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support to auditors
- Verify and process invoices, ensuring appropriate approvals and coding
- Facilitate Month End Close
- (ie, creation of month end close checklist for task tracking, month end close calendar creation for multi-department support deadline visibility, and overall accounting/finance deadline structure)
- A/P & A/R close and creation, sending, and recording of vendor invoices and/or accruals (if applicable)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and best practices.

- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Minimum education level: Associate’s degree or in accounting or related field preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
