PrideStaff Financial is currently assisting a not-for-profit family services organization in the recruitment of a Bookkeeping Supervisor.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeping Supervisor to manage the company's accounting systems, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with company and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial processes, preparing budget reports, and delivering financial statements to management in a prompt manner.

Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
- Communication: Being able to explain complex financial information to non-specialists, both orally and in writing
- Budgeting: Ensuring the team stays within the allocated budget
- Direct supervision: Managing professional, technical, and administrative support personnel
- Positive feedback: Giving feedback to clients
- Management skills: Leading the team and achieving high quality results
- Analysis: Reviewing the accounting work of others for accuracy, and analyzing numbers to inform budgeting and identify business strengths and weaknesses
- Overseeing daily transactions, such as accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Participating in regular tax audits and payroll
- Preparing budgeting reports and forecasting revenues
- Managing month-end and year-end closing
- Organizing financial data into useable information and maintaining updated records
- Establishing accounting policies and procedures, aligned with company's targets
- Ensuring compliance with the law
Bookkeeper Requirements:
- Proven work experience as an Accounting Supervisor
- Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite or Sage
- Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts, and using advanced formulas)
- Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws, and regulations
- Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Team management skills
- Ability to prioritize work
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $29.00 - $31.00 Per Hour
