Bookkeeper

Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team experienced in restaurants. We are currently working with Quickbooks online and Toast POS. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of financial concepts.

Responsibilities:
- Perform general bookkeeping duties, including data entry, record keeping, and maintaining financial records
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of transactions
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure data integrity and identify discrepancies
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., Xero) to perform tasks efficiently

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in using accounting software and 10-key typing
- Strong knowledge of debits, credits, and balance sheet reconciliation
- Familiarity with governmental accounting is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred

Note: All positions at our company are paid positions. Internship positions are also compensated accordingly.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
