Blades Operations Manager
Ethos Distributed Solutions' Blades Repair Business Line is growing and we are looking for a talented Blades Operations Manager to direct blade repair projects throughout North America. Responsibilities And Duties
- Be Ethos' lead technical expert in blade systems and repairs.
- Provide technical guidance to field resources and provide necessary technical coaching and training.
- Meet targets for Safety, Quality, Costs, People Development, and Customer Satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain effective project management processes and controls to meet schedule, scope and budget.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and Ethos employees.
- Regularly travel to jobsites to evaluate project progress and meet with Customers and your crews (approximately 25% to 50%)
- Build your team by interviewing, hiring, and training. Guide your crew leads to develop great technicians.
- Facilitate and/or lead effective pre-project planning meetings, daily project monitoring, weekly project reviews, timely mobilization and demobilization, and project close out meetings and related activities.
- Plan project steps, milestones, labor requirements, supply, equipment and material needs.
- Ensure that operational and safety procedures are implemented and followed, in collaboration with Ethos Safety Manager.
- Review and approve Daily Progress Reports (DPRs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Monitor and ensure project completion meets customer expectations; ensure that revisions, changes, and additions to contracts are properly documented and invoiced.
- Regularly communicate project status, obstacles, risks and successes to all stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver daily reports to the customer in an organized, clear and concise manner.
- Effectively and clearly document project tracking status in Ethos systems and create reports as required.
- You will collaborate closely with Ethos Project Coordinators, Safety personnel, Field Leads and Business Development personnel.
Qualifications And Skills
- Must have OSHA 30 training and other site-required safety trainings.
- Legally authorized to work in the US for any employer.
- Valid US Driver's License
- Pass an MVR Check, Background Check, Physical, and Drug Test
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is plus.
- Needs to have excellent attention to detail, great organizational skills, and possess the ability to work independently.
- Must have strong, two-way communication skills, excellent customer service skills, and be a strong team player.
- Must have strong computer skills including internet, email and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Management tools.
Experience
- Combined 7 year wind experience, with a mix of:
- 2 years blade manufacturing experience
- 2-3 years in the field management directing crews on Cat 1 - 5 repairs
- 3 years in a management role
- 2-year or 4-year technical degree or equivalent work experience and training.
- The travel requirement for this role is 25% to 50%.
