We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Operations Finance Manager in Broomfield, CO to join our finance team reporting directly to the CFO. In this role, you will lead a team that is responsible for reporting, planning and forecasting, and strategy for the technical and integrated supply chain functions. You will be the finance business partner for the technical and operations leaders, closely working with them to understand and forecast census, materials spend, and capital spend to enable advancement of the technical roadmap. You will also be leading an operational accounting team who is responsible for understanding how to account for the material capital spend by accounting for complex constructed assets, accurately and timely capitalizations, and ensuring compliance and adherence to GAAP within capital accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnering with the technical leaders to develop the strategic and annual operating plan supporting the technical roadmaps and maintain a rolling forecast with variance analysis against the annual operating plan
- Partnering with the ISC (Integrated Supply Chain) leaders to help build opex and capex budgets and driving accountability to budgets for operating expenditures and capex spend
- Preparing a rolling forecast of capex spend and cash forecasts for large facility expansion projects
- Overseeing and executing strategy to cross-functional team to ensure timely and accurate capitalizations for hundreds of capital projects that will result in highly complex constructed assets aligned with technical roadmap milestones
- Partnering with the global finance team to accurately and consistently account for revenue and intercompany transactions
- Reporting of technical financials in the technical MOR (monthly operating review) and ISC financials in the ISC MOR (monthly operating review)
- Establishing policies and procedures around capital requirements and processes to meet internal controls including, but not limited to asset impairment, scrapping of material and fixed asset verifications
- Providing training across the organization around capital vs. expense as well as the constructed asset structure
- Validating accuracy of internal reporting (AUC reports, capital reports, PPE and Software walks)
- Supporting financial audits providing support for sample selections and explaining processes and procedures
- Building up financial disclosure support for contract liabilities, deferred revenue and various capital supporting documents
- Managing and providing work direction for lead R&D accountant and exhibiting leadership across the organization with guidance and coaching around financial acumen
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a direct leadership role

WE VALUE:
- Master/MBA in Accounting or Finance
- Ability to juggle multiple high priority deliverables within a short period of time
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tool suite
- Attention to detail with the ability to analyze substantial amounts of data and summarize at an executive level
- Experience in supporting R&D, manufacturing and/or integrated supply chain functions
- Proficiency with SAP and/or SAP S4 HANA
- Flexible, self-starter with proven history of successful process improvements
- Experience in working cross-functionally with high-level leadership
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization
- Ability to simplify technical accounting rules to other functions
Compensation & Benefits:
Range posted is inclusive of bonus target when applicable.
Estimated Salary Wage: $165,000 - $206,000 Annually
