Overview:
We are seeking an experienced EMS Operations Manager to join our team at Aquila Medical Services. As the EMS Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of emergency medical services, interfacility medical transport, event-based EMS services and other related services within our organization. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent decision-making abilities, and a passion for providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of EMS personnel, including EMTs and paramedics
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of emergency medical services
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to provide seamless patient care
- Conduct regular training sessions to ensure staff members are up-to-date on the latest protocols and techniques
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of EMS personnel, providing feedback and coaching as needed
- Oversee the maintenance and inventory of medical equipment and supplies
- Respond to emergency situations as needed, providing direct patient care when necessary
- Collaborate with local authorities and other emergency response agencies to coordinate efforts during large-scale incidents or disasters
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an EMT or paramedic
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role within the EMS field
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience administering injections and performing basic life support procedures
- Excellent patient assessment skills and the ability to make critical decisions quickly
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Familiarity with DME (Durable Medical Equipment) used in emergency medical services
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
