Billings Specialist

Qualis Corporation is seeking a Billings Specialist to be responsible for accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of travel settlements, customer invoicing, and reporting requirements of various contracts, as well as other duties as assigned. The Billings Specialist will report directly to the Billings Manager.

Requirements

Role and Responsibilities

• Preparing and submittal of Customer billings to include all required supporting documentation.
• Ensuring proper approvals for all transactions
• Posting to the general ledger in a timely manner
• Resolving invoice discrepancies
• Responsible for Daily Activity on a major contract currently in place and reporting activity to Prime Contractor on a daily, weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, and YTD basis
• Interact with Program Managers, Program Control, remainder of the Accounting Staff, HR, and all other departments on a daily basis
• Maintaining records and customer files
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements

• BS degree in Accounting or other related field strongly desired.
• 3-5 years related work experience required, preferably in the Government Contract area.
• Demonstrated experience in Deltek Costpoint is required.
• Exceptional customer service skills, verbal, and written communications.
• Highly organized and able to multi-task under time constraints.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel on an intermediate level of expertise.
• Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy, quality and detecting errors.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
