General Description:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk at M&N Home Care Agency plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate management of accounts receivable functions. The primary responsibility of this role is to handle billing and unbilling processes, manage the posting of all checks received from providers, follow up on outstanding accounts receivable, and efficiently communicate with Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) providers to inquire about payment status. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional attention to detail, focus, and organizational skills, along with extensive experience in home care accounts receivable. Proficiency in using computer systems, particularly in Excel, is essential for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all billing documentation is complete and compliant with relevant regulations and contracts.
- Record all checks received from providers accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile payments against billed amounts to identify discrepancies and resolve any issues promptly.
-Proactively manage accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue payments.
-Contact clients and MLTC providers via phone and email to follow up on outstanding balances.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any billing-related disputes or discrepancies.
-Work independently or with a team to complete special projects related to AR management.
-Engage with Managed Long Term Care providers to inquire about the status of payment and to resolve any payment-related issues. •

Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent (additional education in accounting or finance preferred).
-Proven experience in managing accounts receivable in a home care agency or a related healthcare environment.
