Job Summary
We are looking for a Laboratory Animal Technician II to join our Insourcing Solutions team located in Poolesville, MD.

What impact you will have!
In the Laboratory Animal Technician II role, you will maintain, monitor, and document the health, physical environment, and facilities of lab animals.
You will also be tasked with the following:
- Monitor daily animal health and welfare while performing daily animal health observations.
- Animal husbandry duties include performing daily water bottle /automatic water line and cage/run checks; perform cage changing and/or cage/run cleaning as required; record animal health concerns and report as needed.
- Prepare and distribute daily food rations and enrichment.
- Provide prescribed minor treatments as needed.
- Performs or assists with restraint, handling, and manipulation of non-human primates.
- Assists in specific research proposals with the research group.
Other duties will include general housekeeping, in addition to reviewing, comprehending, and complying with all SOPs and quality assurance standards pertaining to specific area.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate would have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related animal care and handling experience. Eligibility for the AALAS certification at the Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) level required.
The pay for this position is $24.00 USD per hour.
