BENEFITS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates administration of benefit programs, such as Medical, HSA, Dental, Vision, Group Life, STD, AD&D, FMLA, 401K (when applicable) and any other benefits programs
- Coordinates all aspects of Open Enrollment for benefits plans.
- Creates and coordinates employee benefits communications and ensure accurate information is posted on benefits website.
- Tracks and executes benefits arrears payment collection in accordance with SFE practice.
- Enters new member data and status changes with the appropriate vendor online methods and other vendor enrollment requirements.
- Follows up on incomplete enrollments.
- Ensures accurate record keeping and proper deductions.
- Resolves discrepancies with carriers, payroll, and the company.
- Consults with and advises employees on eligibility, plan provisions and other matters related to benefits to ensure accurate, timely, equitable, and courteous resolutions.
- Acts as liaison between employee, brokers, insurance providers and resolves benefit related problems and ensures effective utilization of plans and positive employee relations.
- Reviews and maintains accuracy of benefit data in HRIS database.
- Creates and coordinates employee benefits communications and ensure accurate information is posted on benefits website and in ADP.
- Updates employee benefit data in the payroll system
- Completes reports for management as requested.
- Complies with COBRA rules and regulations to include sending and processing COBRA enrollments and payments.
- Ensures compliance with applicable federal laws, state laws, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure coordination and accuracy of all benefits and payroll deductions.
Completes other projects and special assignments as requested by supervisor and/or Senior Management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years Benefits Experience
- ERISA, HIPPA, COBRA, FMLA, Other employee benefits laws
- Microsoft Office products
- ADP knowledge preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field; or equivalent Business related experience
- Professional Certifications:
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR)
- Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)
