Description
Plan, execute, launch, and improve battery packs assembly and module areas for Spring Hill Battery Assembly Plant to produce battery packs for Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV). Supervise, lead, and mentor team of 7 GM engineers consisting of 2 Manufacturing Engineers, 1 Lead Stacker Engineer, Lead Battery Test Engineer, 1 Welding Engineer, and 2 Battery Execution Engineers, each with Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or similar. Plan, engineer, design, execute, debug, commission, and launch battery pack equipment including assembly fixtures, cell processing units, Supertrak conveyor systems, stacking dials, 7-axis robots, compression presses, welding fixtures, laser welding and trimming equipment, dispense systems, handoff fixtures, checking fixtures, holding fixtures, testing equipment, end of line testers, FANUC robots, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), lift assists end effectors, lift tables, dollies, kitting, repack, internal dunnage, push carts, and point of use racks, from process definition, fixture design, equipment installation through Start of Regular Production (SORP) at Spring Hill Complex. Follow Statement of Requirements (SORs), Bill of Material (BOMs), Bill of Equipment (BOEs), Bill of Process (BOPs), and Bill of Operation (BOOs), and ensure quality, ergonomics, and safety requirements are met.
Additional Description
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering. Thirty-six months’ experience as Engineer, Supervisor, or related, engineering. Must also have experience with debugging, and commissioning automotive product manufacturing and assembly equipment including assembly fixtures, cell processing units, conveyor systems, 7-axisrobots, presses, welding fixtures, end of line testers, and point of use racks.
