Responsibilities:
- Electronics manufacturing environment background
- Lead improvements in process yield, quality, cycle time, inventory accuracy and delivery
- Work with external suppliers to install, troubleshoot, and maintain SMT equipment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure project deadlines are met and operations team is aligned with project timelines and engineering goals.
- Develop process and equipment documentation and train personnel on new processes, materials, and equipment.
- Develop and perform complex designed Experiment (DOE) and capability studies, develop process specifications, and design and procure process tooling.
- Perform root cause corrective action analysis, process capability studies and implement process controls to ensure process performance requirements are met and sustained.
- Provide technical support for new product launches including establishing process recipes, tooling, and performing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews identifying improvements for manufacturability.
- Provide timely and effective technical support for day-to-day problem resolution impacting production output, quality, safety, and cost.
- Proficiency on SMT equipment's programming and troubleshooting such as any of the following.
- Placement, SPI, AOI, Printing, Oven and or laser marking.
- Tooling design
- Stencil , router plates, selective solder plates .
- Introduction of new products , complying with the performance and quality targets.
- Desirable technology background
- SPI/AOI : Koh Young
- Screen printer: MPM/DEK
- P&P: KnS/Juki
- Oven : SMT/BTU
- Router: Gtech/Schunk
Qualifications;
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or other STEM related field preferred
- Strong understanding and knowledge of SMT manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Working knowledge of IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001
- 2+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing environment
- Proven technical leadership with ability to lead teams through various troubleshooting activities as required to support the daily job duties.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
- Proficient in utilizing statistical analysis as part of problem-solving process.
- Self-driven individual with ability to take initiative and work with limited supervision.
