Faz Bakery & Coffee Bar is a Mideteranean-inspired with a modern twist. Faz Bakery features fine Mediterranean / European pastries and desserts, custom-designed cakes to suit any occasion, and a full espresso bar.
The Barista/Bakery Assistant key responsibilities includes Front of the house duties including but not limited to making drinks, sandwiches, and other customer service related
Essential Job Functions
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their bakery needs
- Fill and maintain the restaurant display case with specialty cakes, cupcakes and other dessert items
- Assist with baking dessert bars for events
- Assist with baking of custom dessert order
- Greet any customers as they arrive
- Assist with other customer service duties as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience in a bakery or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating recipe quantities
- Familiarity with retail math for cash handling at the register
- Ability to operate a cash register for processing customer transactions.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: The Barista/Bakery Assistant position will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, bend, push, pull, and work a flexible schedule, must be able to move continuously during work hours. Other physical requirements include:
- Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time

Compensation:
$18 per hour + tip
