Beautiful Waterfront Hotel located on Chautauqua Lake has an immediate opening for an experienced Banquet Chef to join our hospitality team!!
As the Banquet Chef, you will use your culinary expertise to coordinate, plan, and oversee the safe production, preparation and presentation of food for all events.
Responsibilities
- Manage and participate in daily banquet culinary operations
- Preparation and production of meals
- Supervision of food quality and presentation
- Compliance with all safety and sanitation standards and regulations,
- Team member productivity and performance
- Implementation of policies and procedures
- Cost controls and overall profitability
- Analyze banquet event orders to plan and coordinate the food and beverage portion of client functions with catering and/or meetings and conventions/events.
- Maintain clear communication to the Executive Chef with respect to daily activities, ordering, receiving, and storage of all food and beverage products.
- Promote high levels of performance among team and a harmonious environment.
Skills
- One to two years post high school education or equivalent culinary education, with three to four years’ experience in a related position
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Capability to operate, clean, and maintain all equipment required in job functions
- Ability to plan, organize, direct, coach, train and discipline, as necessary and ensure security of kitchen access, products, and hotel property
- Maintain professional behavior and appearance at all times
