Associate Director, HR Specialist

Our company is actively seeking an Associate, HR Assistant to join and support the HR Team. In this role, you will be providing HR administrative support and reporting directly to the Chief People Officer (CPO). The ideal candidate will be creative and enjoy working within an entrepreneurial environment that is mission and results driven. The HR Assistant will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. We are looking for an energetic professional who thrives wearing multiple hats and dealing with urgent matters in a timely and effective manner. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • HR Administrative Support: Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks for the CPO and HR Team interacting with internal employees and external relationships. Assist with follow-up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the HR Team, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature.
  • Meeting Coordination: Works closely and effectively with the HR Team to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, scheduling team meetings and following up appropriately. Prioritizes conflicting and competing projects for the HR Team; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows through on projects to successful completion.
  • HR Operational support: Provide assistance for HR requests and maintain employee personnel files (i.e. processing DocuSign letters, contracts, grant agreements and 83bs, ensure all documentation is filed accordingly). Provide administrative support for new hire onboarding and orientation (i.e. scheduling meetings etc.) and awards and recognition programs (i.e. order employee gifts for special milestones including birthdays, work anniversaries, weddings, newborns, sympathy etc.)
  • Otheradministrative duties required for efficient and smooth operations of the HR department.

Qualifications:

  • Approximately 2+ years of relevant HR experience in similar role; wealth management/financial services is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Human Resources, Organizational Development and/or related field.
  • Desire to learn and grow in human resources.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Outlook.
  • General comfort level with Internet/Intranet usage and ability to learn proprietary software and databases.
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through; perform tasks with high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to exercise judgment in managing confidential or sensitive information.
  • Always demonstrates respect for all individuals.
  • Demonstrated passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Coachable with the ability to work in a team environment or independently when necessary.
  • Must be able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment and to interpret rules and guidelines flexibly to enhance the business and in keeping with Cresset’s values and culture.
