Position Summary
OneView Commerce is seeking an Associate Cloud Engineer to join our DevOps Team. In this role, you will improve, automate, deploy, and administer cloud-based software solutions for enterprise-level global retail customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, architects, and product managers to ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of the platform, enabling us to deliver exceptional user experiences to our rapidly growing customer base. You will also manage initial response and root cause analysis of incidents that are created through our customer support portal and manage production support requests.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support the setup and administration of cloud-based applications and infrastructure
- Monitor cloud systems operations to detect potential problems
- Maintain the integrity of data backup and archive processes
- Perform initial response and root cause analysis of incidents that are created through our customer support portal and manage production support requests
- Security and integrity of the production and development environments security policies
- Ensuring Disaster Recovery plans are kept up to date and tested against our security policies
- Implement and manage automation tools to improve the velocity and quality of development lifecycle
- Provide technical direction, expertise, and guidance to team members
- Lead complex projects/programs that require multiple areas of expertise and cover a broad range of applications
- Collaborate with development teams to maximize efficiency and improve velocity bottlenecks
- Deploy software solutions for global retail customers
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 1-3 years experience in Cloud engineering, IT Operations, Networking Administration.
- Demonstrated experience managing live software solutions for enterprise customers.
- Fundamental knowledge of Cloud Computing providers and systems.
- Experience with Python, Javascript / Typescript, and/or shell scripting.
- 1-3 years of Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience, certifications a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, deadline and detail-focused.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum).
Additional Skills and Experience
- 1+ years experience with Linux server management
- 1+ years experience with networking administration
- Experience with other Cloud providers (Azure, Google Cloud Platform, IBM Cloud, etc.)
- Core security proficiency in one of the following: Offensive/Red Team, Defensive/Blue Team, AppSec, or Threat Intel.
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSI and TCP/IP models, web protocols, and related security practices.
- Understanding of encryption concepts and implementation.
